Public BBQ

A lovely community park at Pakenham built around a wetland of water lilies and native planting, with a boardwalk, an observation platform and informative signs about the local wildlife. Birds are everywhere and the ducks on the pond hold children's attention as long as the playground does - swings, slides and climbing equipment, plus secret paths, hidden spots and a good climbing tree. There are picnic tables, seating, barbecues and a covered picnic area, with walking paths for exercise and plenty of open green space. Two caveats: there are no toilets, which caps how long you can stay, and the water itself is not as clean as it should be, with litter left in the reeds. The end of the slide is uneven, so watch toddlers on it.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Cardinia council.

You should first check with Cardinia council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
